Bought both in large as I am between 12 and 14 and wanted a relaxed fit. Accidentally ordered one in petite but it’s just slightly more fitted, a couple cm shorter and very slightly shorter in the sleeve. Still a nice fit on my 12/14, 5 foot 6 body. I would say they are true to size.
